The Children of 1917 will offer an amazing journey through time. Together we will learn about the lives of some remarkable survivors: Russians who not only were born in the tumultuous year that was 1917, but who then lived through Civil War, industrialization, collectivization, Stalinism, World War II, the Cold War, Khrushchev, the era of Stagnation, the collapse of the USSR, and the turn of the twenty-first Century.

The Children of 1917 project's funding window closes on Sunday. We are just $2000 shy of our goal and optimistic that a last minute surge will push us over the line. So optimistic, in fact, that our team has been working away, interviewing and meeting Russian centenarians. Because history cannot wait...
